Pitched up early to meet Krafty and Rich C and it was raining solidly, but decent SW blowing. Krafty hiding in his van but rigged 5.7m, Rich rigged 5.4m. Went 5.7m, but halfway through rigging Rich recommended 5m, so rushed that one through. Went to get changed and when I cam out, the rain had stopped and the wind had gone - arse. 20 mins later, it began to come back, but more offshore and colder air temp. Krafty and I went for big kit and had an ok sail blasting on the flat water, sometimes way overpowered, sometimes underpowered, but at least on the water. Both notched up 22kts on the GPS, but didn't feel very fast on such big kit. Better than rigging and not going out, but if I'd know the front was going to blow out so early, I wouldn't have bothered.
